Founder Bios

Trevor Damyan, Founder & Board President

Trevor Damyan is the founder of Sidewalk Stories LA, a California nonprofit public benefit corporation that repairs broken sidewalks and transforms them into community mosaics designed and built by neighborhood youth.

He lives in the Fairfax / Mid-City West neighborhood of Los Angeles and walks past cracked sidewalk panels every day. With a decade of experience in structured finance and nonprofit formation, Trevor brings disciplined project management and community relationship building to the civic art space.

Trevor is a member of The Pottery Room in Culver City and regularly attends Urban Land Institute meetings, where he tracks LA infrastructure and pedestrian safety trends.

Jason Clement, Founding Tech Partner & Board Member

Jason Clement is the founding technology partner at Sidewalk Stories LA, responsible for the mobile app that powers resident photo submissions, community voting, and public before/after documentation.

He previously built a sidewalk photo and geolocation app for a political campaign, which now serves as the technical backbone for Sidewalk Stories LA's community engagement platform.

Jason brings deep expertise in civic technology, mobile development, and community-driven data platforms to the Sidewalk Stories LA founding team.
